Los Angeles' on-again, off-again charter reform debates move to a new chapter as a City Council committee begins a year-long process of mulling changes to the city's constitution.
The Board of Supervisors is to consider the nomination of Michael K. Woo to the new county Ethics Commission on
Measure G, the historic 2024 L.A. County governance reform, requires an independent county ethics commission to be in place this year.
Sept. 9: The Governance Reform Task Force discussed rules for three new county offices, including the independently elected county executive, the county legislative analyst (who will report to the Board of Supervisors) and the Office of Budget and Management (which will report to the executive).
